The origin of Damask rose is the Middle East
and it is the national flower of Iran.
Rose usage goes back to ancient civilization of Persia.
Avicenna, the 10th century Persian physician,
distilled its petals for medical purposes and
commercial distillery existed from 1612 in Shiraz.
This plant is called "Flower of Prophet Mohammad" in Iran
because people believe it is a holy and therapeutic plant.

Rose oil (Rose Otto) is the beautifully fragrant
essential oil distilled by Rosa Damascene petals
which holds a special place in the hearts of all
who love aromatherapy, natural perfumery and cosmetics.
For obtaining each kilo of Persian Rose oil around 4,000
kilos of Rose petals are steam distilled by
modern distillation processes.

The production of rosewater in Persia has a
long history of more than 2500 years.
It is the distilled water of roses, made
by steam distillation which smells heavenly
and tastes delicious with relaxing properties.
Due to its hydrating and soothing abilities
rose water is beauty tool for the skin.The highest
rose water quality is produced in Kashan-Iran.
